  Had their Italian sausage sub sandwich from their lunch menu and it was huge...I think a foot long. I definitely got my money's worth and they came with a bag of BBQ chips. The men also working there were friendly and helpful with the menu. When I couldn't finish my sandwich, they wrapped it up for me to take it to go.

  I spent quite a bit of time last night looking for a good pizza to pick up while downtown Des Moines to take to our hotel room.  
  
  We decided on Mama Mia's and called in our order @4:45 pm. We ordered their evening special: $9.99 one-topping 16" pizza. We were told the pizza wouldn't be made until they opened at 5 pm.  and he told us to come at 5:15 pm to get our pizza. Great, we went to the hotel and my husband went back out to get the pizza which was just down the road. Our sausage pizza was burnt (black) on the edges and dry.  Didn't look very appetizing and it tasted like cardboard.  
  
  I found great reviews for this pizza place online but we won't be getting take-out again. These hungry Texas visitors say, "No bueno" to Mama Mia's!

  I had the pizza by the slice during lunch, which was not only delish, but also an amazing concept for a quick lunch bite!
  
  The ingredients were fresh, fresh, fresh, and the friendly service was quick, quick, quick!  
  
  I ordered two lunch slices (which are served huge - NY Style), and ended up taking one slice home for later. The composition was perfect and flavors robust! It was that burst of flavor you expect from an amazing slice of pizza! One slice for me hit the spot, was affordable, and more than enough to eat!
  
  Mama Mia's delivers, and if I lived in the area, it would be my regular pizza delivery place!

  Love the Thai pizza! Have gotten it multiple times, it's a little spicy. Great food, pricing a tad high with delivery hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

  Mama Mia's is a place we had been wanting to try and glad we did.   First off the people working here were very friendly and the service was excellent.  They have a few beers and wines here, not a big selection but should fit anyone's wants.  We ordered the Pierogi, great flavor to these dumplings and the ranch cream dip was tasty.  I saw many people order the meatballs, think we'll try those next time.  Our pizza was a meatball and pepperoni, it's a thin crust and very delicious.  We don't always get dessert at places, but they did have cannolis, and well worth it, great flavor to it and super tasty.  The place is on the smaller side, has a fun atmosphere.  Also they have an arcade game in the back with classic games like Donkey Kong and others, reminds of the pizza places I went to as a kid.
